Cool title, right? LOVE this treasury by GinaMicheleEco
One of the best treasuries I've seen! I love it!! Tanya Sweets is featured in there too ;o)

Snow is heading our way again, 6" it looks like then again on Sun or Monday! We haven't had a lot of snow the last several winters, looks like this is our year for it! Hope everyone is cuddled up by the fireplace enjoying a nice glass of wine ;o) xo Michele

Steampunk Art Doll The Surgeon

Meet the evil Soul Suckers surgeon! Not someone you want to see coming towards you! He loves altering the poor little Steampunk Souls.

The surgeon is 9 1/2" tall and will be available in my etsy shop. I think I'm going to list a few of them on ebay. I'm so impatient with etsy lol. Hope everyone had a great weekend! xo Michele

Steampunk Art Doll Tanya Sweets

Wooo Hooo I finished Tanya Sweets (you peeps notice I've had a thing for candy, sweets, wine?? LOL). Anyway, meet Tanya Sweets, her friends all call her Sweets. She can't help she's addicted to all that sticky goodness! Lucky for her both arms open almost anything!

Tanya is bigger than the other steampunk souls that I have been creating. She is a little over 13" tall. Her right arm is a vintage skeleton key, her right arm is a vintage can opener. Her right eye is a vintage watch face, a couple of brass gears and a red latch that I found. On her forehead are two vintage watch parts and a brass gear. Around her neck is a bolt and then a metal tag that says 88. Her clothes are hand stitched and not removable. I cheated and painted on her corset lol. The ribbon on her hat and around her waist has red and white candy pieces on it. Her little hat (also not removable) is made from a cork (Yup another bottle of delicious red wine ;o)) ribbon, feathers and a metal tack. Hmmm...I think that covers her ;o))

Hope everyone has a good weekend! xo Michele

Sarah Steampunk Soul Art Doll

I thought I would never get her done! Finally!! Meet Sarah, she's a lot larger than the other steampunk characters I've been doing. Sarah is 13" tall. She has a skeleton key for an arm, her left arm is a vintage spoon with a sculpted hand on it, assorted watch parts are on her chest, her eye is a complete watch movement, I made her hat out of metal, watch parts and a cork ( I knew all that wine drinking would come in handy!) All of her clothes are hand sewn (non-removable). She's a tad thicker than I wanted her to be but since she's the first one I've done I'm pleased with how she turned out!

I need to write up her story but I'm not sure I'm going to get to it tonight. Anyone have any ideas by looking at her? She will be in my etsy shop tonight or tomorrow :o) xo Michele

steampunk Soul Mounted Head Franki and Clean Studio!

Meet Franki, yes she knows she's a girl, but Franki is better than Francesca which is her birth name. Franki hates to be called Francesca, or at least she used to. Before she was dead. Now the poor dear hangs in the hall of the Soul Sucker along side Amanda.

Franki is on a 5 x 7 wooden plaque. She is hand sculpted out of paper clay over an armature and yes she is very secure on the plaque ;o) She is available in my Etsy shop tonight.

So today was a better day for me :o) I got in the studio early and started to clean, big fluffy white puffs of snow started falling outside. I'm not a great photographer but I hope you can see them:
Remember the worktable mess I posted a few days ago? The whole room was a mess, not just this little space on the table. It was overwhelming it was such a mess:
TADA!!!
The thing that took me the longest was you couldn't see the depth of little tiny watch pieces, chains, gizzmos etc that were on the work space and I had to organize and sort through all of that stuff. But it was worth it!! I now have more than 2 inches of space to work and look at all that room for my Diet Coke lol. I cleaned the whole studio! I won't bore you with all the pics but I wanted to show you proof lol, look even the shelves are clean!!!
Dawn, if you are reading this, I'm waiting to see pics of your clean studio LOL!!By the time I finished everything up it was snowing like a blizzard! Those big fluffy puffs of snow were now coming down hard and fast!
We didn't get any accumulation to speak of but it sure was pretty coming down! So now I sit in my clean studio and don't want to mess it up lol. Wonder how long it will stay this way?? 1 week? 2 weeks? I give it a month LOL. Have a good weekend everyone! Catch you on the flip side! xo Michele

Steampunk Soul Mounted Head Amanada & Hell

Yesterday I promised you more about the mounted heads, meet Amanda. Poor Amanda died in battle against the Soul Sucker and his army and the Soul Sucker drug her body back to the castle and mounted her head! It now hangs in the front hall of the Castle of Corporation as a warning to all.

Amanda's wooden plaque is 4 x 4". Her right eye is a vintage watch piece and of course she's sculpted over an armature and hand painted. She's available in my Etsy shop :o)

Okay so now let me tell you about the day I have had...it all started out with Flickr, I wanted to finally put some things in my flickr account and put one of those nifty little bages on my blog. After about an hour of searching for how to make the damn badge, Ginny was kind enough to help a sister out and sent me a link. Wooo Hooo! So I generate it, and go to add it to blogger...here's where more trouble starts. I add it to the generate html little area, and for some reason it puts 3 of them on my blog...okay so I check them yup same thing so I delete the other 2 only in this process I now delete the background html code!!! You know that OH S&*t! moment???and of course there is no undo button. So...I went back to the background place (notice the button in the top left hand corner of my blog if you are looking for some cool free backgrounds) and I picked another background, well now blogger no longer has the 3 column minima or if they do I can't find the damn thing! I have links that have disappeared, things are rearranged, the colors of the text are strange colors....well you get the idea, at this point I'm in html blogger code hell.

So instead of cleaning up the mess I showed you yesterday, or working on the other mounted head Steampunk Soul I worked on getting my blog back together...What do you guys think? You like the new look? I wasn't sure at first. My oldest, Brandon, said he thought it looked better. Any thoughts? And let me just say that when I finally finished with this and went to use my drill it was not working...I think I should just go get a glass of wine and say fugetabout it! See how much happier I look?? Hope the rest of you are having a fantabulous night! I'm off to drink that wine and eat pizza! xo
