Steampunk Soul Art Angel Doll-Angelina

Meet Angelina, she's in constant mourning for the souls that the Soul Sucker has destroyed. Her hands never stop moving, counting the beads on her rosary. She's joining the rebellion, hoping that her mechanical wings and protective chest plate will be enough against the evil Soul Sucker army.

She has vintage pocket watch parts for her wings, bolts for her feet, screws in her arms, watch pieces, washers for her neck, a vintage writst watch piece for her eye, her chest plate I believe was a scarf clip at one time, on her head is a vintage rhinestone brooch, and in her hands are vintage black rosary beads.

Steampunk Spider Princess

Spider Princess will be available on ebay tonight. Don'tcha just love her little skull crown?? lol! Don't worry to be ruler of the land of spiders she doesn't have to grow up and marry a spiderman...LOL sorry couldn't resist! She can rule the whole spider kingdom by herself and with 4 of her legs tied behind her back ;o) Although she wouldn't mind that Johnny Depp spider moving into her web! Dinner Time!

I'm going to keep this short and sweet, cuz I'm right here at dinner time again! I'm still catching up but SERIOUSLY I'm going to add some things to etsy here soon! Tonight I have two new things for ebay! One is a really cool ring! Beetle Queen! I think she might still have that grunge, rocker edge to her?

Next is a vintage enameled peacock, with a vintage shoe clip also in the mixture!

Wine Rockin Weekend

Hope everyone made it through the weekend unscathed! I'm not so sure on my account LOL! I don't think I have drank that much wine...in...well lets just say EVER!! The hills of Missouri where the wineries are located are gorgeous! Here is a view from the winery Montelle that we were at:

I forgot my camera so this photo is from Mo.gov In the fall when the trees are changing Missouri is a gorgeous state to drive up and down, twisting through the back roads, stopping to sip some wine at one of the vineyards.
We also went to see Def Leopard, Poison and Cheap Trick at the Verizon ampitheater last night! No cameras were allowed but I'm sure there's pics floating around out there..I saw the flashes...you know who you are...LOL! It was another awesome time! Rock on!

So anyway, now you know why I was unable to post last night ;o)

Award & New Pendants!

We had a beautiful weekend here after the nasty storm came through Friday night! Hope everyone stayed safe and dry and got some beautiful weather, where ever you are! I just found out from Debbie that us Tglas girls swept the Nibblefest constest! I had no idea!! Wooo Hoooo! I won 3rd place from my Alice:

I'm finally getting back in the groove but it's been all found object assemblage steampunk kinda stuff...My muse is working overtime where that all is concerned! I'm listing 3 new pieces on ebay
tonight at 8 pm. The rooster queen is now in my all time favorites!!



I've also decided to try Etsy again! I'm going to be listing alot there this coming month. I listed a couple pair of steampunk earrings there today and this deer pin. She is the sweetest thing! Very urban chic!!

New Pendants

Well I didn't get the painting done to list for today, so hopefully soon :oP On a good note, I'm on the front of EBSQ's blog today! http://blog.ebsqart.com/ Yippee ;o) Pretty cool news! Also I did manage to get a few more pendants ready to list. I started these with prints of my artwork instead of the glass faces...just something different ;o) I have to say the one with the watch part body and arms is one of my favorite pieces to date...but I really love that painting...which is on the way to her new home where I know she'll be very happy! Okay here's the other pendants as promised and even a bonus steampunk pendant! Then all go on ebay tonight (Saturday) at 8 pm central time for 5 days! I'm hoping to get the others listed by monday. I really thought things were going to slow down finally but it doesn't look like it for another week :oP Anyway, hope everyone is having a great weekend! 5 day fused pendant auctions

I'm listing two pendants on ebay tonight, for the 5 day auctions :o) Hope you like them! I have several more that I'll list tomorrow for 5 day auctions also! Just found out my son is moving back home...so it'll be time to move the studio again! Most of you probably remember that I took over his old room when he moved out...so I'm back to the smaller of the spare bedrooms. Sorry I've been a little more absent than normal. After all the birthdays and such, I decided to quit smoking (again!) so it's hard for me to sit still for very long so I haven't gotten much art or computer stuff done! Out Of Reach

Doesn't it seem sometimes that whatever it is your heart desires that it's always just out of reach? You can see it but just not touch it? That's what this painting is about. Forgotten

Hope everyone had a great weekend!! We spent the day at a family members and it was nice to get to see everyone and eat and eat and eat LOL. Somehow I managed to get this painting done in between everything ;o)) Mixed media...acrylic, paper, charcoal on wooden oval that's 11 x 14. Titled "Forgotten". Since I'll probably be really busy again this next week I figured I would go ahead and list these 3 pendants as 5 day auctions. We are going to family's house and it's always lots of people, lots of food, lots of fun! and it looks like the good old Missouri weather just might cooperate for once and we will be dry in the morning!! Angel, Witch & Goth Girl, Oh My!

3 more fused glass pendants!! See I kept good on that promise to list more!! There's a spring time witch, an angel, and a goth girl so something for everyone! All will be on ebay tonight at 8 pm central time :o) For those of you that don't know, I cut and fuse several layers of glass together in my kiln, then after they cool down, I draw the design and hand paint them with glass paint. They then have to cure for 24 hours before being low fired again. The glass paints once fired are scratch resistant :o) Hope everyone is having a good week! I am past one birthday :o) Have had tons of fun! Now just have Easter and one more birthday to go! xo Michele

First Holiday Pendant of the Season!

I'm listing my first holiday pendant of the season on ebay tonight, 8 pm central! So for all of you still home that can waddle to the computer take a peek! "Holly Mermaid" has a beautiful green glass base, fused with white on top, where Holly is painted :o) She would be gorgeous beaded! Or simply slide your own chain through the large silver plated bail! Love how this one came out! Steampunk

The air has finally turned chilly and the wind and rain are tearing the beautifully colored leaves from the trees, creating giant mounts of color on the grass. I don't know about anyone else, but I'm not ready for winter! The older I get the more I do not like the cold! No wonder so many retirees move to Florida! I'm there with them!!

I've added some new items to ebay, they are steampunk inspired. As most of you know I love mixed media and steampunk fits right into that! Steampunk is a term used to describe a very trendy and fun style, you can find it on everything from clothes to of course jewelry. It's kinda a mish-mash of victorian meets inventor, industrial, and time travel. Very cool items!

This little steam punk angel started with a face that I painted on glass, she is painted with the same paints I do my full glass pendants with. She's painted and then allowed to cure 24 hours and then low fired again. Each little face is different! The watch parts you see are from a vintage Elgins watch, you can still see 4 of the rubbies if you look close. She has tiny crystals on her halo, and on the bottom of her. Part of the background is filigree that is backed with metal that was cut to fit her. I engraved my name on the back. Also you will notice that she is both a pendant and a brooch, I attached a pin back so you have a choice of how to wear her. She would be stunning with any outfit, I've added a simple silver colored chain (18") or you can replace it with your own. She would also look awesome on a jacket, just remove the chain!

I'm going to try a few on ebay and on etsy to see where they sell the best. Oh and speaking of selling, I've decided to raise the price of my glass pendants on ebay to 24.99. I've wrestled with this for quite some time and it's just time. I want everyone who wants one to be able to afford them but at the same time I have to pay the bills lol.
