New Video- Mermaid!!

Okay as promised here is the new mermaid video. Boy, this one was tough, tons and tons of footage to edit down to close to 6 minutes, not easy!! I tried to show as many steps as I could. I still left out the beeswax that I sealed her in at the end and adding the little button. I meant to go back and add that to the video and I forgot lol, blame it on my age. I also thought I wasn't actually in the video until I saw it lol, so you get to see me the way I normally am painting...no makeup LOL. Hope you enjoy the video! I listed the painting on ebay tonight, you can find her here:

Our Path

Well I meant to post again last week, really I did! Not sure where time goes! Here is the newest painting that I posted last night on ebay it's titled "Our Path" I totally meant to add some trees and a bush on there and a stick coming out of her hair lol, the painting has to do with our path in life and how we sometimes get sidetracked on a different path or totally lost in the woods with sticks in our hair and mud on our faces, lol, and even sometimes we can't get on the right path because of a roadblock of our own doing, but what I'm finally figuring out is it's not the destination, it's the journey, even if you are still fighting through the brush in the woods LOL. You are learning and growing and moving towards your path. Hope everyone enjoys the painting.

I used copies of old maps in the background, a vintage music sheet, lots of acrylic, ink, pencil, etc.. You can find her on ebay this week at :

Life Is What We Make It

Sometimes it seems like life is coming at you from all directions and your like that little hamster on the metal wheel, running and running but getting no where! But it's not the destination really, it's the journey that we should enjoy. This painting was inspired by my feelings on a poem that I found in an old book: Life Is What We Make It.

The background has an add from 1911 from Macys, there is sheet music in the bottom left from around the same time. And her wings and text are from the vintage book that had the poem in it that inspired the painting.

Original is on sale on ebay this week (starts tonight) at http://stores.ebay.com/michele-lynch-art
Or you can find prints on etsy at: http://michelelynchart.etsy.com
Happy wednesday everyone!! xo Michele

October

October has to be one of my favorite months. There is nothing like being able to open all the windows and feel the gentle cool breeze of autumn. The colors of the trees that change from summers green to shades of red, yellow, and orange. And of course mums in every shade! You always know fall is on the way when you see the mums bloom.

I added a breast cancer awareness pendant to ebay and am donating half of the ending auction price to the American Breast Cancer Foundation. Last year I did a painting for the cause and enjoyed it so much I wanted to do it again this year. You can find her on ebay this week at http://stored.ebay.com/michele-lynch-art
I also started experimenting more with mixed media jewelry, which I love! Here's my latest, also available on ebay tonight. The base of the pendant is an ivory colored domino, the sailor suit started as a photo of my grandpa in his navy uniform, which I colored in with assorted pencils, the kitty face was painted in with acrylics, there's some brads, rivits, washers and a seashell charm all on there too. Comes with the ball and chain necklace that goes through the side of the domino. This was tons of fun to create!

Hope everyone had a good monday! xo Michele
