Forgotten
Hope everyone had a great weekend!! We spent the day at a family members and it was nice to get to see everyone and eat and eat and eat LOL. Somehow I managed to get this painting done in between everything ;o)) Mixed media...acrylic, paper, charcoal on wooden oval that's 11 x 14. Titled "Forgotten". You can find her on ebay tonight at 8 pm central time (I really debated with myself over this one...ebay vs. etsy? I'm not sure there's as big of the surreal, lowbrow type of buyers on ebay as there is on etsy. Etsy can seem edgier than ebay at times.) xo Michele

I love your work Michele. I have seen you on ebay. I found your blog on my sister Cris's blog. I had no idea you were a fellow Missourian. Beautiful work.
Jennifer
Thank you Jennifer!! Yup, good ole misery LOL! xo Michele
OMG michele! this is beyond me or my english! she is ... masterclass! i really really love this little mermaid. the color combination is perfect ... her tail! OMG that's paper or is that your art? anyhow it's a brilliant touch to put that specific print there! the stalatites ...so mysterious. i just love the 'unsaturated' look... the whole coldness and ancientness of the picture you painted. PERFECT!
Thank you so much Luthien! I was worried about how you all were going to react to this one LOL, much more eerie than I have been doing lately, but it is totally me! I love things like Tim Burton! Yes, it's paper that I put on her tail :o) In person you can see the grain of the wood in places and I just love that! xo Michele
I love this one. I think Luthien's descriptive words, "mysterious, ancientness, unsaturated" are right in line with the way I see this work. I'm off to check her out on ebay.
She is so beautiful- I am so glad I found your blog, your artwork is lovely!!!
I have an award waiting for you when you've got the time to pop over to my blog ;)
