Alice or Malice?

Some one suggested to me that I should do an Alice in Wonderland (which everyone who reads this blog knows I LOVE) and so I happily obliged! Here she is! She's 19" tall x 4 1/2" wide x 3" deep.
Her legs are jointed, and posable. Her right arm is made from a vintage skeleton key. Her left arm is made from a small glass vile that has a slip of paper in it that says Drink Me, a metal found object and a blue teacup I made from apoxy. The base of her hat is a vintage watch piece, a silver colored faux watch face, along with the vintage parts on the hat, a tiny key on the back, and a lock. Her chest has a vintage pocket watch piece that says AWW.CO in beautiful script. You can still see the tiny rubies. I added a small gold rabbit (what would Alice be without her rabbit?) and there is a tiny monocle over his eye! Her right eye is an enameled Victorian looking vintage watch face. Her clothes are hand stitched and not removable. I hand painted (her corset is also painted on) her in layers and sealed her with a matte finish. Her red lips and the red heart are not as bright red as they appear in the photos.
Hope everyone is having a great weekend!! I'm off to play in more clay...xoxo

Queen Of Hearts & JOL Cat

If you read this blog you know I adore (okay maybe there is a stronger word there like LUST) Johnny Depp and am a huge Tim Burton fan, so I'm counting down the days Burton's version of Alice in Wonderland! In the meantime here is my version of a steampunk Queen of Hearts:

She goes on ebay Thursday night with a buy it now option. She's another one that I don't want to let go, but, sigh, I must.

I also made a new Halloween piece that is a little kitty cat dressed up in her Jack O Lantern trick or treat costume, all ready for trick or treating!Isn't she too cute? I put a little black rhinestone for her nose lol. She's available on ebay tonight at 8 pm central time and again with a buy it now. The skelly girl sold last night quickly with the buy it now, so I'm guessing everyone likes the buy it nows on there ;o)

Have a great night everyone! xo Michele

Fused Pendants

Hope everyone had a good weekend! I survived, barely lol. But wooo hooo all the birthdays have ended and life can get back to normal, whatever that is! I managed to paint a couple fused glass pendants in between the partying! The first one is as close to the painting Forgotten as I could get! Since everyone seemed to love her, I thought someone might like her as a pendant! She will be on ebay at 8 pm central time.

The second pendant is my entry into the Nibblefest contest, a themed art contest beginning on the 20th of each month. Every entry starts at just .99!! The theme this month was favorite childhood story..well I'm sure you guessed mine already! Alice in Wonderland! I decided to do Alice at the Tea Party...I wish I could have included the rabbit, the mouse, and mad hatter but the pendants are just too small we would all need a magnifying glass to be able to see all of them! This one doesn't start on ebay until 9 pm central time (7pm pacific time) because of the contest rules. The voting goes by the number of individual bidders on a piece.
Let me know what you all think! xo Michele

New Alice!

Okay so I'm a little Alice crazy LOL but there's something magical about Alice in Wonderland, isn't there? This Alice is painted directly onto a vintage pocket watch face that still has the back intact, complete with some tiny rubies. The painting and watch face are sealed for protection of the painting. Lemme know what you all think! She goes on ebay tonight (Jan 19th at 8 pm central time) there will be more pictures of her on there! Http://stores.ebay.com/michele-lynch-art xo Michele

Holding The Pieces Together Video

Wooo Hooo! Got the painting done, the video done and she's ready to list on Sunday Jan 18th on ebay. (I can't believe it's already the 17th where did January go?!)I had been asked to do Alice In Wonderland as a Steampunk Painting. Well the month of November and December I guess took their toll on me LOL because what I came up with is how I was feeling...trying to "Hold The Pieces Together" which is the title of the painting. I'm sure I will continue the Alice theme with more Steampunk. Hope you all enjoy the video! xo Michele

Alice In Wonderland

Hope everyone had a great holiday weekend! I ate and shopped until I dropped ;o) I think I'm finally done with all the Christmas shopping! I've been very much in the Alice mood lately! I have two new Alice In Wonderland glass pendants listed on ebay! http://stores.ebay.com/Michele-Lynch-Art also a Christmas witch and gypsy, and a geisha! More steampunk divas have also been added. I've had some requests lately for some more street type scenes and some more domino pendants. Also someone suggested that I paint with my toes...hmmm...now that would be an interesting video right? lol! Enjoy the peek at Alice! There's more pics of them on ebay! xo Michele
