A Flower and a Swan...

Hope everyone has had a great week! It's been a little crazy around here, the last thing to go was the water heater this morning! Sheesh! I've created 2 more whimsical steampunk characters that will be available on ebay tonight. The first is a Swan Queen, one of those that looks much better in person! Then the flower pin/pendant, I made myself one similar and love her! I wear her to work on the lapel of my jackets almost everyday. She goes with everything and since she can be worn as a pendant or a pin she's even more versitile! Enjoy!

I'm Back!!

I'm sorry I have been gone for so long! I had surgery, then took a full time job managing a furniture store because they came to me and made me an offer that was hard to refuse! But I have missed my artwork tremendously and so I've decided to add pieces to ebay here and there and maybe a few galleries. The above piece is titled Butterfly Fairy and she's available on ebay now. If you get a chance take a peek at her! Here are the other two that I listed!

I'm not sure what happened to Monday. I think it skipped me.Or I guess it could have been the post its. Either way, I never saw it.

I did however manage to get a few things done! I've been very productive here in my little dungeon..er...studio. I managed to get a new steampunk scarecrow done which you can wear as a pin or a necklace! Love her! She will be on ebay tonight And then I finally got a few fused glass pendants done! I listed both on ebay already today, with a buy it now feature. Actually even the scarecrow has a buy it now feature. As a buyer I always look for that. It's not because I don't want to duke it out with another ebayer and possibly get a great deal. It's because, I'm impatient. Pure and simple. Why wait a week when I can get it today? I mean when they come out with the transporter that hooks to your computer so that as soon as I buy something on ebay ZAP it transports into my house, I will be a happy camper. Just don't buy anything really really big


Okay I think I got off topic a bit here...so the fused glass pendants...

Candy corn moon. I love the artglass that I fused into the pendant as the moon. Looks like candy corn to me! I also added a few swarovski crystals for the twinkling stars :o)
Then this little soulful looking gypsy, her crystal ball is dichroic glass that has tiny silver stars in it...hard to see from this picture I think. Glass is the hardest thing to photograph!

I also have a Halloween queeny witch, but a girl can't show it all at once! I'll post her tomorrow. Have a great night everyone! xo Michele

Well we've made it through 2 days of middle school now unscathed! But we did forget the trombone at school today. Oh well, it's a little thing ;o) Hope everyone else's little ones are having great first days at school also!!

Tonight I have two new steampunk diva's to go on ebay. One I'm putting as a buy it now and that's the little angel. Her skirt is made up of a what I believe is real turquoise. It was an earring. I just love her!

The second is another ring. I'm having so much fun with these rings! This one reminds me of those little Japanese Dolls that you see everywhere now a days.

She is up for the regular 7 day auction and of course the auction still starts at the very low price of 19.00! Hope everyone has a great night! The days are getting shorter. I can feel summer coming to an end. BLAH! xo Michele

Start Of School & New Work!

My baby started middle school today! all the fretting over that yellow folder and would you believe I accidentally picked up a blue one without holes LOL!! Never fails! All in all it sounds like he had a pretty good day, except for the dreaded combination locks on the locker :oP He's still having a bit of trouble with his! It's amazing to me how fast they grow though, it seems like it was just yesterday that I was standing next to him at the bus stop waiting for the kindergarten bus to pick him up. sigh. Babies grow up fast.
I have two new pieces of art for ebay tonight. One is a 5 day auction and the other a 7 day.

Fused Glass Pendants

I'm running way behind tonight, it's almost 7 pm and I still don't have dinner done! I had to help out a neighbor though...so anyway...I'm not going to say alot about the pendants for tonight ;o) 2 new handpainted fused glass pendants! and another mixed media found art..art doll assemblage... steampunk...whatever you want to call them! I love her, her name is Quirky Mrytle and if you look she has one brown eye and one blue eye ;o) She was lots of fun to make...more about her in the ebay description. 5 day fused pendant auctions

I'm listing two pendants on ebay tonight, for the 5 day auctions :o) Hope you like them! I have several more that I'll list tomorrow for 5 day auctions also! Just found out my son is moving back home...so it'll be time to move the studio again! Most of you probably remember that I took over his old room when he moved out...so I'm back to the smaller of the spare bedrooms. It's okay though, I love the idea of him being back home...now would everyone say a prayer that I can get him into college??? sheesh! xo Michele

These are 5 day auctions to catch up with next week ;o) The mermaids waves are strips of dichroic glass, and the flowers and leaves on the other one are small pieces of fused glass :o) Hope you all like them! Fused Pendants

Hope everyone had a good weekend! I survived, barely lol. But wooo hooo all the birthdays have ended and life can get back to normal, whatever that is! I managed to paint a couple fused glass pendants in between the partying!The first one is as close to the painting Forgotten as I could get! Since everyone seemed to love her, I thought someone might like her as a pendant! She will be on ebay at 8 pm central time.

The second pendant is my entry into the Nibblefest contest, a themed art contest beginning on the 20th of each month. Every entry starts at just .99!! The theme this month was favorite childhood story..well I'm sure you guessed mine already! Alice in Wonderland! I decided to do Alice at the Tea Party...I wish I could have included the rabbit, the mouse, and mad hatter but the pendants are just too small we would all need a magnifying glass to be able to see all of them! This one doesn't start on ebay until 9 pm central time (7pm pacific time) because of the contest rules. The voting goes by the number of individual bidders on a piece.

Steampunk-ness!

More steampunk-ness coming to my ebay page tonight! Not sure how I got this little divas done with all the birthday celebrations!! But here they are!! They will be on ebay tonight at 8 pm central time.

I also want to thank K for the wonderful award!! It's a wonderful thing to inspire someone! It's difficult when you get into a funk and can't seem to get the mojo flowing! I try to get out when that happens, go to a store or museum or garden that always makes me feel good. Usually it's that our muse needs a break, and she returns with all kinds of things when she's good and ready LOL. I know that doesn't help the funk feeling when you're in the middle of it, but remember you are creative so it will return! Also you can try just painting the background of a painting, tell yourself that's all you are going to do and sometimes that's enough to wake Miss Muse up!

Since I'll probably be really busy again this next week I figured I would go ahead and list these 3 pendants as 5 day auctions. We are going to family's house and it's always lots of people, lots of food, lots of fun! and it looks like the good old Missouri weather just might cooperate for once and we will be dry in the morning!! Angel, Witch & Goth Girl, Oh My!

3 more fused glass pendants!! See I kept good on that promise to list more!! There's a spring time witch, an angel, and a goth girl so something for everyone! All will be on ebay tonight at 8 pm central time :o) For those of you that don't know, I cut and fuse several layers of glass together in my kiln, then after they cool down, I draw the design and hand paint them with glass paint. They then have to cure for 24 hours before being low fired again. The glass paints once fired are scratch resistant :o) Hope everyone is having a good week! Glass Pendants!!

Wooo Hoooo!!! I finally got some new glass pendants painted!! All 3 of them go on ebay tonight at 8 pm central time. I was trying to get some steampunk listed also but ran out of time. I'll see if I can't get some up there tomorrow or so. Hope everyone is having a good week! Things are going to get crazy for me again, I have my husbands birthday on the 7th then Easter on the 12th, then my oldest son's birthday on the 17th and guess how old he will be??? 21!!!! I'm really getting into this lovey dovey Valentines day thing this year! I did a large painting the week and she's so different from what I normally do that I decided to post her here. What do you all think? Do I list her on ebay or keep her? New Pendants!

Hope everyone had a good holiday season! I didn't realize it had been so long again since I had posted. Just too much to do and too little time! We had a wonderful Christmas with my family, nice and relaxing, full of conversation and food! Doesn't get any better than that! My oldest son and his girlfriend came over on Christmas day and we had more of the same :o) Then new years eve is my husband and my anniversary so that's always fun, because there is a party wherever you go that night! Hubby and my youngest were also on vacation until yesterday so having everyone at home was a nice treat! We caught up on a lot of movies and just generally hung out! and now I guess the party is over, and it's time to get back into the swing of things...so I listed 2 new glass pendants for ebay tonight and some steampunk! Croquet Alice

More Alice!! Wooo Hooo! Okay, you're right I'm having a blast painting Alice again. I've been working from early in the morning to late at night straight through trying to get my ebay store filled with goodies! There are lots of fused glass pendants and tons of steampunk to be had, and I added domino pendants for those inexpensive last minute gifts! There is still plenty of time for me to mail since I use priority mail. Hope everyone is enjoying the holiday season! I still haven't put up my tree yet lol! It's like this every year for me since November and December are the busiest time of the year. But I am done shopping! Woo Hooo!!
