The weather here is sooooo gorgeous today I wish I could bottle it and save for one of those days in January or February when I have cabin fever! Leaf Fairy

Start Of School & New Work!

My baby started middle school today! all the fretting over that yellow folder and would you believe I accidentally picked up a blue one without holes LOL!! Never fails! All in all it sounds like he had a pretty good day, except for the dreaded combination locks on the locker :oP He's still having a bit of trouble with his! It's amazing to me how fast they grow though, it seems like it was just yesterday that I was standing next to him at the bus stop waiting for the kindergarten bus to pick him up. sigh. Babies grow up fast.
I have two new pieces of art for ebay tonight. One is a 5 day auction and the other a 7 day.

Monday!

Hope everyone had a fantastic weekend! For ONCE I didn't work all weekend! On Sunday I packed everyone up and headed to the pool where we either swam or did absolutely nothing! Ah, pure bliss! I think the pool might have to become a Sunday tradition! Today was my youngest last day of elementary school. wow. That is a hard one for me to grasp lol. He'll be a middle schooler next year but now they are back to the bottom of hierarchy at school lol.
I have two things for ebay tonight, a gypsy pendant that not only has the little glass face that I paint but it also has a piece of silver dichroic glass that I fused! She's really cool!

Then I also made a queen ring, which has been in my head for a bit and just hadn't taken the time to make her. I LOVE how she came out!!

With the kids out of school it will feel like the official beginning of summer!! Oh and thanks to everyone for their well wishes! I feel a tiny bit better...okay I'm stretching it LOL I still feel crappy! Have a great night everyone! xo Michele

Hope everyone had a fantastic weekend! I got a lot of stuff done that we've been trying to get done around here. Like shoveling dirt and grating the yard to fill in a hole where a pool used to be. Award & New Pendants!

We had a beautiful weekend here after the nasty storm came through Friday night! Hope everyone stayed safe and dry and got some beautiful weather, where ever you are! I just found out from Debbie that us Tglas girls swept the Nibblefest constest! I had no idea!! Wooo Hoooo! I won 3rd place from my Alice:

I'm finally getting back in the groove but it's been all found object assemblage steampunk kinda stuff...My muse is working overtime where that all is concerned! I'm listing 3 new pieces on ebay

I've also decided to try Etsy again! I'm going to be listing alot there this coming month. I listed a couple pair of steampunk earrings there today and this deer pin. She is the sweetest thing! Very urban chic!!

Glass Slide Pendants

Okay here's one of the things that I've been working on that I said there was a learning curve to! They are glass pendants that have been cut and then kiln fired so the the edges rounded, I put a print of my artwork on the back of them, painted and sealed the back. Fun! I like these alot better than the domino pendants...so if you liked those you will love these! I put them in my ebay store already...actually one of them sold before I could post this! I'm still working on some painted fused glass pendants and some other mixed media goodies! xo Michele

1950's Vintage Plastic Pendants

Wanted to show you all who has taken up residence in my backyard first ;o)Aren't they the sweetest things ever? I can't believe how fast they went from blue tiny eggs to this stage!
Okay now for the artsy stuff LOl. I just love these pendants! I bought the 50's vintage plastic pendants and bows and then added a print of my original artwork, sealed them with resin and added the swarovski crystals and bails.



Also a new steampunk piece!

All will be available on ebay tonight!I've almost got some prints that are glass pendants completed also...there's been a learning curve here LOL. I'm not a fan of the learning curve! But I think I just might have it! Should have some painted fused pendants soon and I promise that painting is coming here soon too! I'm finally getting back in the groove! My other problem is people think that if you work from home, you must be available to run their errands, pick kids up, etc...that's a hint for the painting lol. xo Michele

Okay here's the other pendants as promised and even a bonus steampunk pendant! Then all go on ebay tonight (Saturday) at 8 pm central time for 5 days! I'm hoping to get the others listed by monday. I really thought things were going to slow down finally but it doesn't look like it for another week :oP Anyway, hope everyone is having a great weekend! Angel, Witch & Goth Girl, Oh My!

3 more fused glass pendants!! See I kept good on that promise to list more!! There's a spring time witch, an angel, and a goth girl so something for everyone! All will be on ebay tonight at 8 pm central time :o) For those of you that don't know, I cut and fuse several layers of glass together in my kiln, then after they cool down, I draw the design and hand paint them with glass paint. They then have to cure for 24 hours before being low fired again. The glass paints once fired are scratch resistant :o) Hope everyone is having a good week! I am past one birthday :o) Have had tons of fun! Now just have Easter and one more birthday to go! xo Michele

Porcelain Folk Art Pendants

I've had this huge block of porcelain just waiting for me to play with it! I finally got around to making some pendants with it! I hand rolled, then cut the pendants, then fired in my kiln. I then hand painted the folk art girls with acrylics and sealed them with a thick glossy finish. They are nice and small, the biggest part is 1 1/2"! They go on ebay tonight at 8 pm central time. I'm really getting into this lovey dovey Valentines day thing this year! Okay I'm continuing the Princess theme LOL.
