Steampunk Soul Art Angel Doll-Angelina

Meet Angelina, she's in constant mourning for the souls that the Soul Sucker has destroyed. Her hands never stop moving, counting the beads on her rosary. She's joining the rebellion, hoping that her mechanical wings and protective chest plate will be enough against the evil Soul Sucker army.

She has vintage pocket watch parts for her wings, bolts for her feet, screws in her arms, watch pieces, washers for her neck, a vintage writst watch piece for her eye, her chest plate I believe was a scarf clip at one time, on her head is a vintage rhinestone brooch, and in her hands are vintage black rosary beads.

All three dolls are available in my etsy shop!

Steampunk Souls- Meet Michael

I meant to post Michaels story yesterday and I just had too much going on still, so here he is so that I don't have to listen to his temper tantrum anymore!

Meet Michael, he was one of the little Steampunk Souls that Edna was able to release from the cells during her break out. Even though Michael is not very social and he hates when people look at his eye to see what time it is, he is fiercely loyal to Edna. He will protect her at all cost. He is also joining the Steampunk army to rid their land of the Soul Sucker.

Michael is approx. 6" tall. He has watch parts on his head and a little gear. His eye is a small writst watch face. On his chest is a full vintage watch clock movement, complete with the tiny rubies. His right arm is another vintage pocket watch piece. Michaels legs are hose fittings.

Both he and Edna will be available today in my etsy shop, along with 2 Steampunk Soul ornament heads.

Also I want to mention that yesterday I was on EBSQ's Friday Five, which offers a look at noteworthy blogs from other EBSQ artists blogs! Woo Hoo!! Thank you Amanda!! Here's the link if anyone wants to check out the other blogs!

Soul Suckers-Meet Steampunk Edna

Thank you Kelly for asking about the Soul Sucker story! Made my creative heart jump for joy that someone was waiting to hear about them!! So just for you I decided to go ahead and post the pictures of Edna.

Meet Edna, she was one of the first to be captured by the Soul Sucker and his army of Shoulds and Regrets. Poor Edna, they replaced her body parts with mechanical things so they could feed off of her creativity and power their castle of Corporation. But Edna was smarter than the Shoulds and Regrets that were the gaurds. One night she only pretended to take the pills they handed out to keep the prisioners in a zombie state and then she used her skeleton key arm to unlock the door to her cell and releasing as many prisoners as she could before escaping. Now Edna has made herself a helmet out of watch parts and is joining the rebellion to rid their once kind and creative land from the evil Soul Sucker and his army.

Edna is 6" tall and her helmet is removable. Made with paperclay, watch parts, bolts, paint, and love ;o)

I added some pictures of when she was being created, thought you all might like to see. I always love seeing works in progress :o) There are many more characters coming soon and even a few ornaments :o) I'm going to list them in my etsy shop and possibly ebay. Thanks again Kelly!! xo Michele

The Dam Has Busted

It is so great to be free to art again, I can't even tell you all how wonderful it feels. A whole year imprisoned by the soul suckers! I've been art-ing like a mad woman, all that creativity that built up has burst free! All of these pendants are available on ebay, and many more. Remember the story I started a while back about the soul suckers? I've been working on those characters and they will make their debut soon...

Yipee!!! and for everyone wondering what happened to the steampunk princess...the story will continue soon! xo

Steampunk Queen Doll

Those of you that have followed this blog for a long time, know that I paint and sculpt as well as the mixed media jewelry. For some time now I've had a story rattling around in my head, and I've decided to portray it in sculpted dolls and paintings (and maybe some jewelry).

The story is of a far away land where a steampunk princess ruled her kingdom with creativity and kindness, but a soul sucker invaded her kingdom feeding off the souls, and letting loose his shoulds and regretts. Enslaving the people and holding the princess prisoner in his tower, the castle of corporation. (those of you who know I took on a full time job in December of last year know where this is coming from...and I'm sure some can relate...)

This first doll is Steampunk princess and her capture. She has already given her leg to the corporation but of course they want her arm too! Her leg is now a skeleton key. The doll is 6" tall and she sits or you can hang her from her silver chain from her back. She tips forward a bit if not hung against a wall but I didn't want the chain coming from the top of her head. Her eye has been enhanced with clock parts and of course no princess would be complete without her crown. Her handcuffs are removable. Her arms and legs move. Her clothes are sewn on her. She is hand sculpted out of paperclay by me. Her eyes are glass that I painted with glass paints, low fired and then sealed.

I'm going to list her on my etsy page. Let me know what you all think!! I love hearing comments! xo Michele

Stephanie Murphy Mosiac

I thought you all might like to see the masterpiece that Stephanie Murphy created with mosaics. Her work is breath taking! She used a piece of my artwork, the little deer on the left hand side and I'm honored! Gorgeous work!!
