This painting was inspired by the song I Hope You Dance. 20 x 24" folk art girl dancing in popies. I used acrylics and scrapbook paper to create her :o) She'll be available on ebay Monday night at 8 pm central time. Hope everyone is having a good weekend! xo Michele
I couldn't help finishing this one up for this week ;o) She's on a oval piece of pine that's 11 x 14 with a nice routed edge. I wood burned her in, then painted her with acrylics, and sealed her with bees wax :o) Oh and I used some mica powders on her halo and dress! Sides are painted a dark brown! Really like how she came out!! As always I love hearing your comments! She'll be on ebay tonight (Thurs.) at 8 pm central time. I taped a video of her but something happened in the middle of it with the camera or the tape...will have to see what's left of it! xo Michele

Here is tonight painting for ebay..titled Memories...Lots of texture again, and the paper on the houses is from a vintage French textbook, I also used other assorted paper, stickers, acrylic, charcoal, and watercolors...think that's it lol. Let me know what you think of her! She'll be at http://stores.ebay.com/Michele-Lynch-Art tonight at 8 pm central time. I've also been trying to get some pendants done but it's been slow going. Lots of things going on right now around here! My little baby is going to turn 11 on the 27th! and I'm subtracting birthdays at this point on the 26th! xo Michele

It was so nice to paint this 8 x 10" Angel! There was no fussing, no arguing, everything flowed nicely! Whew! I don't think I could have taken another one so soon like the Fashion Angel LOL! This one will be on ebay tomorrow (Monday) night at 8 pm central time. I so enjoy hearing everyone's comments, they mean a lot to me! xo Michele
Okay all you artists out there...I'm wondering if this has ever happened to you. This painting was my trouble child. I have worked on her and worked on her and worked on her! Nothing seemed to just flow like normal, nothing worked, she wasn't please no matter what color the background was, no matter what color her hair or dress! She started out as a blonde with a white dress lol. No wings. No bird. Finally I gave in and listened to what she wanted...wings. She wanted wings. Well I guess we could all use a fashion angel I thought LOL and certainly some that I have seen and wondered why they didn't have one! So, she got wings, and not just any wings! Wings made from an article on fashion from a vintage home journal dated February 1911. What could have been more perfect? I certainly hope she works! Let me know your thoughts on her! I'm going to list her on ebay tonight. xo Michele

I love butterflies and to me the symbolize freedom. This mixed media piece of artwork is done on a 10 x 30" box canvas. Tons of texture on her! Both the background and her dress which I know it's hard to tell from the pictures. Tonight there will be more pictures on ebay and you can click on them and supersize her ;o) I really like how she came out, I love the expression on her face. So peaceful. You can find here tonight on ebayLemme know any thoughts or feelings on her! xo Michele
I am so honored that Fran Caldwell has featured me today on her art blog! If you havent' seen Fran's wonderful blog you can check it out here http://francaldwell.blogspot.com/ Thank you Fran for such a wonderful write up! I also found out yesterday that I'm a finalist in the artist choice awards on ebay for 2008 in the jewelry-Beads/wearable art category!! Again I'm honored!!! How exciting is that???!!
I'm listing this wistful folk art girl tonight on ebay she's 20 x 24 on a box canvas. Mixed media- acrylics, charcoal, scrapbook paper. She has such a sad and lonely look on her face. Guess that's how I was feeling last week! I really love how she looks though.
So does everyone has superbowl plans? I'm not a football fan (sorry! give me hockey anyday!) but this is the one day that we go to superbowl parties and it's more about the eating to me than the football lol! Hubby wants the Steelers to win, I kinda want to see Warner get another ring...he's such a kind, giving person. Does so much for the communities.
Anyway, let me know what you all think of the new painting! Have a great day, whatever you do! xo Michele
I'm like most artists, I've been creating something for as long as I can remember. I have explored many types of media and love experimenting with new things. Mixed media seems to be where my heart belongs. I can combine my love of painting, sculpting, adding found object all into one. The Steampunk Soul series evolved after I took a job with a corporation--the Soul Sucker. I hope you enjoy my artwork! xo Michele
