Wine Rockin Weekend

Hope everyone made it through the weekend unscathed! I'm not so sure on my account LOL! I don't think I have drank that much wine...in...well lets just say EVER!! The hills of Missouri where the wineries are located are gorgeous! Here is a view from the winery Montelle that we were at:

I forgot my camera so this photo is from Mo.gov In the fall when the trees are changing Missouri is a gorgeous state to drive up and down, twisting through the back roads, stopping to sip some wine at one of the vineyards.
We also went to see Def Leopard, Poison and Cheap Trick at the Verizon ampitheater last night! No cameras were allowed but I'm sure there's pics floating around out there..I saw the flashes...you know who you are...LOL! It was another awesome time! Rock on!

So anyway, now you know why I was unable to post last night ;o)
Here's what I managed to get done for ebay for tonight though:

One starts right at 8 central and the other at 8:05 so that they don't both end at the same time. Have a great night everyone...I'm flying out the door for Buffalo Wild Wings 50 cent wing night lol! xo Michele

Bracelet & Earrings

I've wanted to do the steampunk diva bracelet for a while now, the problem always seemed to be that I never had enough faces made up in advance! But I finally go it done and I love how it came out! My little glass faces mixed in with vintage rhinestone earrings, buttons, glass buttons and typewriter keys! I'm hoping to get some more made soon :o)

I also am putting up some Marie Antoinette inspired earrings.

Both pieces will be available on ebay tonight at 8 pm central time! Hope everyone has a great weekend! We have another birthday party to go to, Wineries if the weather holds out on sunday, and Monday another concert--this time it's Def Leopard, Cheap Trick and Poison! Wooo Hoooo! Total 80's!! LOL! I have the camera battery all charged ;o) Now I'm off to the pool! xo Michele

Geisha Divas

I absolutely love these geishas! At first I was going to make earrings out of them, that seemed the logical thing to do right? But they are some kind of metal and are more heavy than what I like to make earrings (I have old 44 year old ears so I know heavy things make them droop lol). So then I decided well why not make a set out of them? So I made a pendant and a ring :o) I think they turned out really nice! Both will be available on ebay tonight at 8 pm central time. Lots more pictures on ebay too :o) xo Michele

Kissing Pigs

Hope everyone had a fantastic weekend!! We went to a pig roast for my Aunt's 70th birthday and even though it was so hot and then it down poured we still had a good time! The pig was delicious! and it was so fun to catch up with my family that I don't get to see as often as I would like! Here's a pic of my dad being silly kissing the pig before he carved it up:

Sorry I didn't post on Thurs. Miss copycat is getting to me. She quit posting them on ebay, but is now listing them on Etsy. Sigh. You know I think the thing that bothers me the most is that she doesn't even say: Inspired by Michele Lynch. If she did that I would feel soooo much better about the whole thing. Well anyway, I'm not going to give alot of time to that little piggie, but thought you would all like to know it's still on my mind and she still has not stopped.
Sunday I vegged. I actually just read all day. No work at all! It was so nice! I'm reading the Barnes & Nobel recommended The Physick Book Of Deliverance Dane. It's about a girl who is getting her masters in history when she goes to her grandma's house to close it up and discovers a key with a name Deliverance Dane on it. She then starts to discover things about the witch trials from Salem. It's by author Katherine Howe and I believe it's her first book. It's pretty good good so far. Not a rush out and get it, but maybe a library read?
Okay so I also do have 2 new items for ebay tonight ;o) I listed a new ring, that is an angel:

and this pendant that is a crab! I thought she was perfect for those summer outfits!

Have a great night everyone and yes I'm reopening my etsy store as soon as I can! xo Michele

Mud Festival

Hope everyone had a great Fourth of July!! I thought I would get to blog about all of this on Sunday, but that day flew by too!! I'm tired so I'm going to keep this fairly short if I can!! Saturday we woke up to pouring rain, which of course canceled the parade for us. We decided to go to breakfast and fortunately the rain let up by the time we were leaving so we headed on over to the fair that our town puts on every year. There are carnival rides and games, inflatable kids things, a magic show, food, food and more food...did I mention fair food? LOL...this is what Michele likes...fair food...red beans and rice, jambalya, corn dogs, funnel cakes, fried oreos, those thin sliced potatoe chip things...okay I gotta stop before I faint from thinking of it all! Where was I? oh yeah and besides the fireworks what most people look forward to are the concerts! Earlier in the day one of our favorite local bands Trixie Delight was suppose to play. I'm not sure if they got to or not because that's when it was pouring. So after getting some snack food we scouted out a spot to sit and wait for Sister Hazel to come on stage...and of course it poured again. But we're not afraid of rain right? (I have pictures that my son took of Sister Hazel but he hasn't had time to upload them off his camera for me)

Sister Hazel was amazing...played right through the rain and this beautiful full arch rainbow appeared. The band was available after the concert for autographs and they took pictures with fans. I thought they were an awesome band :o)

After Sister Hazel the crowd was pumped for Gavin Degraw. The crowd had doubled I think by this time. We were close to the front so we were all really packed in there. The people that we had around us were fun and everyone was just having a really good time. I mean here we all were sitting in the mud, getting poured on several times but you have fair food and good music, what more could you want right? Degraw got to about the fourth song and it is really raining by this time again (but we're all so soaked none of it even makes a difference anymore) any way across the sky there is a flash of lightening :o( We all know what that means at an outdoor concert. Party is over. The city official shut the fair down for everyones safety. Gavin Degraw apologized which of course it was not his fault, you can't control the weather. All up concert goers picked up our soggy blankets, lawn chairs, coolers and what not and did the slip n slide through the mud back to our cars. Unfortunately there were not even any fireworks on the fourth for us because of that lightening (they didn't want the people there in danger who would come to see them). So that was my fourth of July LOL...and a fun time was had by all ;o)

Sorry I got this posted so late! I was waiting for the pictures and then I figured I'd better post it anyway and when I get the pics I'll just add them in another post! I also did add two items to ebay last night I just never got to the post ;o) Here they are:

The Queen Bee so reminds me of Marie Antoinette!! I think it's the way the wings are split that remind me of the old fashioned dresses. I'm not sure what it was lol, but I made sure this little bee was very french ;o) The earrings my youngest Zach found for me at an antique store! There was a pin and a necklace and he said, look mom you could make earrings out of these! and how right he was!! Hope you enjoy these and I'm hoping I can get everything back on track ;o) xo Michele

Fairytales...

Once upon a time there was a beautiful froggit princess:

and she lived by her beautiful pond

and waited for a boy who looked like Johnny Depp

But cooked and cleaned like Martha Stewart

OH WAIT! That's my dream!!! LOL! Well the froggit princess waits patiently for her prince so they can live happily ever after! (available on ebay tonight)
I also made a pegasus that I think turned out pretty special
Also available on ebay tonight! Have a great night everyone!! xo Michele
