The Monster Within

Sorry I've been a little more absent than normal. After all the birthdays and such, I decided to quit smoking (again!) so it's hard for me to sit still for very long so I haven't gotten much art or computer stuff done! It's been a week now, but I'm still having a hard time sitting still LOL. Hope you like the new painting! She is 11 x 14" on canvas and will be on ebay tonight at 8 pm central time. More Pendants ;o)

More fused glass pendants are on ebay tonight! These are 5 day auctions to catch up with next week ;o) The mermaids waves are strips of dichroic glass, and the flowers and leaves on the other one are small pieces of fused glass :o) Hope you all like them! I'm off to finish cutting the grass! It's rained so much that it's crazy high! Wooo Hooo for the sunshine lately and 80 degrees!! Had to turn the air on LOL! Out Of Reach

Doesn't it seem sometimes that whatever it is your heart desires that it's always just out of reach? You can see it but just not touch it? That's what this painting is about. Fused Pendants

Hope everyone had a good weekend! I survived, barely lol. But wooo hooo all the birthdays have ended and life can get back to normal, whatever that is! I managed to paint a couple fused glass pendants in between the partying!The first one is as close to the painting Forgotten as I could get! Since everyone seemed to love her, I thought someone might like her as a pendant! She will be on ebay at 8 pm central time.

The second pendant is my entry into the Nibblefest contest, a themed art contest beginning on the 20th of each month. Every entry starts at just .99!! The theme this month was favorite childhood story..well I'm sure you guessed mine already! Alice in Wonderland! I decided to do Alice at the Tea Party...I wish I could have included the rabbit, the mouse, and mad hatter but the pendants are just too small we would all need a magnifying glass to be able to see all of them! This one doesn't start on ebay until 9 pm central time (7pm pacific time) because of the contest rules. The voting goes by the number of individual bidders on a piece.

The Corset

5 day ebay auction! I decided to go ahead and list this one for 5 days so that it will end next week. The curtains are paper and ribbon, she's painted in acrylic on a 12 x 12" piece of wood, sides are painted black, I added copies of vintage corset ads to the background. Steampunk-ness!

More steampunk-ness coming to my ebay page tonight! Not sure how I got this little divas done with all the birthday celebrations!! But here they are!! They will be on ebay tonight at 8 pm central time.

I also want to thank K for the wonderful award!! It's a wonderful thing to inspire someone! It's difficult when you get into a funk and can't seem to get the mojo flowing! I try to get out when that happens, go to a store or museum or garden that always makes me feel good. Usually it's that our muse needs a break, and she returns with all kinds of things when she's good and ready LOL. I know that doesn't help the funk feeling when you're in the middle of it, but remember you are creative so it will return! Also you can try just painting the background of a painting, tell yourself that's all you are going to do and sometimes that's enough to wake Miss Muse up!

Forgotten

Hope everyone had a great weekend!! We spent the day at a family members and it was nice to get to see everyone and eat and eat and eat LOL. Somehow I managed to get this painting done in between everything ;o)) Mixed media...acrylic, paper, charcoal on wooden oval that's 11 x 14. Titled "Forgotten". You can find her on ebay tonight at 8 pm central time (I really debated with myself over this one...ebay vs. etsy? I'm not sure there's as big of the surreal, lowbrow type of buyers on ebay as there is on etsy. Etsy can seem edgier than ebay at times.) xo Michele

Since I'll probably be really busy again this next week I figured I would go ahead and list these 3 pendants as 5 day auctions. I really love the look of these three!They will be on ebay tonight at 8 pm central time. I hope everyone has a wonderful Easter!! We are going to family's house and it's always lots of people, lots of food, lots of fun! and it looks like the good old Missouri weather just might cooperate for once and we will be dry in the morning!! Angel, Witch & Goth Girl, Oh My!

3 more fused glass pendants!! See I kept good on that promise to list more!! There's a spring time witch, an angel, and a goth girl so something for everyone! All will be on ebay tonight at 8 pm central time :o) For those of you that don't know, I cut and fuse several layers of glass together in my kiln, then after they cool down, I draw the design and hand paint them with glass paint. They then have to cure for 24 hours before being low fired again. The glass paints once fired are scratch resistant :o) Hope everyone is having a good week! I am past one birthday :o) Have had tons of fun! Now just have Easter and one more birthday to go! xo Michele

Angel Monday!

It's an angel monday!! I have not only a new angel painting but also three new steampunk angel pendants for ebay!! The painting has a crackle finish that I antiqued to add more vintage charm to her. The pendants are all made of various vintage watch pieces and then the faces are glass and hand painted with glass paint by me. All three have a large silver plated bail that makes it easy to slip your favorite chain on. Everything will be available on ebay tonight at 8 pm central time! I couldn't decide between etsy and ebay and in the end ebay won lol. I'm hoping to start listing some prints on ebay soon. Oh and I bought some glass tiles to put some prints of my artwork under and make some pendants. They are not as small as I thought they would be though they are 1 1/2" square so a good size focal pendant! Hope everyone had a great weekend! xo Michele

Glass Pendants!!

Wooo Hoooo!!! I finally got some new glass pendants painted!! All 3 of them go on ebay tonight at 8 pm central time. I was trying to get some steampunk listed also but ran out of time. I'll see if I can't get some up there tomorrow or so. Hope everyone is having a good week! Things are going to get crazy for me again, I have my husbands birthday on the 7th then Easter on the 12th, then my oldest son's birthday on the 17th and guess how old he will be??? 21!!!!
